12-year-old Penelope Cooke lives a life that can be referred to as "normal". Though, from her point of view, it would be as long as she didn't have Generalized Anxiety Disorder, or G.A.D. for short. To her, it gives her a lot of irrational worry and stress about herself and the things in her life. And to make matters worse, her parents have already planned for them to move to a new home in another country.

With this major change, she now must learn how to move on from her previou lifestyle and adapt being able to go to a new school and having a new social life. At first, all seems acceptable until the cause of an emotional breakdown. But after that, she soon makes a grand discovery: she isn't the only one with these kind of problems.

Guided by an experienced pediatrician, she and the other students have to learn how to get along with one another, in order to improve their well-being.
